About The owner
Jamell Cottrell is a native of Southern California. She grew up around the entertainment industry and has always had an eye for glamour and beauty with class and style. Jamell enjoys shopping, going to movies, performing arts, jazz, and fine dining. Event planning is her passion. She has coordinated conferences, inaugurations, campaigns, concerts in the park, church programs, birthday parties, singing competitions, health fairs, expo’s and other special events. She has years of experience of creating memorable moments for many.
Jamell has volunteered with her church and nonprofits organizations in the area of fundraising, sponsorship and planning for over 20 years. She has the ability to brings people together and make things happen. It wasn’t until someone said, to her “you have a gift for this” did she realize that planning is her calling. That’s when she decided to pursue her passion of event planning and start her own business. And through prayer and perseverance By Design Logistics was born.
Jamell has a high success rate in managing multiple projects at the same time. Her work experience and skills in customer service, project management, administration and team management have given her the tools she needs to run her own business. Jamell has been a leader since birth. She has a high standard for professionalism and believes that every event is special and should be done with excellence. Every idea is different and every event is important no matter how big or small. Jamell’s goal is customer satisfaction. She takes pleasure in being a part of helping people celebrate life.
